Lester & Lily
Lester had a wonderful home with a lovely couple, but his lady friend passed sadly and he was extremely lonely. His owners reached out to us, hoping we could provide him with a place where he could interact with other animals. We welcomed him to Lemondrop in 2014.
Lily came from a former petting zoo where she had no pasture to graze and was kept in a small sandy pen. We welcomed her to the family shortly after Lester arrived in 2014.
They have been nearly inseparable since meeting each other. If they're apart of any length of time Lester will cry (hee-haw) for her to come back.
Sadly Lily passed in October of 2017 due to an unexpected illness. She is greatly missed by all of us at Lemondrop, as well as Lester.
Lester contiues to live with us at Lemondrop happily, and has now become one of our oldest and long term residents! He LOVES attention and will stand at the front gate whenever a volunteer arrives to try and coax some extra love and kisses.
