Hurricane Irma Recovery
Greetings, I hope that everyone made it through the storm safely.
This will be a quick post, we are making a plea to everyone who supports the vital work we do.
All of the animals made it through the hurricane safely, no injuries or losses. But our horse shelter was destroyed in the high winds. Initially we thought it could be repaired, but upon closer inspection the internal metal supports snapped in two, or bent under the pressure.
Now, our resident horses have no shelter from the elements, sun or rain.
We are desperate to give them a new shelter. We need $500 to begin rebuilding - even so they just have a makeshift shelter from the elements. If we happen to get more than the $500 we need, we hope to build a barn that will withstand any future storms.
