Kohl's Cares Virtual Fundraiser

Kohl's Cares has partnered with Lemondrop to do Virtual Fundraising! You can Social Distance, Volunteer and help raise money to support Lemondrop's VITAL work in the community all at the same time!

How can I help?

Find Lemondrop on Facebook, Follow, Like & Share our posts! We are always looking for like minded supporters who love their community, animals and want to give back! Sharing is the best way to do this. You can also check out our Volunteer page if you'd like to get involved directly with Lemondrop! We also need people willing to partner with Lemondrop and commit to Donate $5 per month -- to help us cover our base monthly expenses and two main programs (see below).

Kohl's Associates can sign up to Volunteer for Lemondrop's Kohl's Cares Virtual Fundraiser HERE (you will need to discuss with management to get specific link for each date), share a Facebook post on the date, and you automatically contribute to our causes!

But what does Lemondrop do?

Note: All of our Volunteers are 100% unpaid, we do not spend any money donated toward salaries, compensation, media or advertisements. 100% of all donations go directly toward funding our programs and keeping Lemondrop running. Period.

Lemondrop Community Outreach partners with local individuals who have a passion for helping feed, clothe and provide for the homeless community, veterans, low income families, single parents (etc) who are in need, in Tallahassee Florida and the surrounding areas. We help feed approximately 1000 people each week in Tallahassee alone, through our four major distribution points.

At our Pomona California location we feed approximately 300 people each week and has been running since 2011.

Lemondrop collects clothing and household items and distributes it to homeless, needy families, veterans or single parents. Unlike other non-profits who sell their donations at a thrift or outlet store, every bit of our donations go directly into the hands of those who need it,without any charge, money or favors required.

Since 2000 Lemondrop Farm Sanctuary has been rescuing animals from various circumstances, including strays and slaughter house abuse victims. In 2011 we incorporated as a non-profit so that we could solicit support from the local communities and companies to help us continue our work, of caring for, housing and feeding these animals.

Since 2011 we’ve been able to take in roughly 700 animals in need, with over 600 of these animals finding new forever homes. Our focus is Farm Animals and indoor exotic birds, although we do take some cats and dogs on a case by case basis. We do not charge a surrender fee for any animal that we agree to give Sanctuary to. We rehabilitate each rescue upon arrival, bringing them up to health and weight, then merge them into the Lemondrop Farm Sanctuary. Once we take in an animal we give them sanctuary for the rest of their natural lives. This means that the animals stay at the sanctuary, they do not get farmed out for slaughter, rehoming, marketing, trafficking or fighting etc. Each animal is given a large pasture or area to freely roam, graze, or play; none of the animals are kept in cages. Each pasture has a special shelter or barn to meet each type of animals needs for shelter from rain or inclement weather.

Our goal is to give as many abandoned, abused or neglected farm animals a stable home to live out their natural lives as possible.
