Urgent Help Needed & Christmas Giveaways!

Wix has changed their policies and is now limiting the number of emails and blogs that we can send each month. Unfortunately, because of this new imposed limit, this will be our only email sent this month. Please be sure and follow us on Facebook where we post almost daily. Because of the restrictions, most photos will also be limited to being posted on Facebook also.

First up is our mandatory needs: We cannot continue without covering our base year end expenses and bills. This totals $2300 (*** See more about this at the bottom of the blog). We also need new tires for our FL location vehicle, which we use to pick up and distribute donations. This is also the main vehicle that we use for our giveaways. PLEASE help us. Without the $2300 we will not be able to do our Christmas Giveaway this year, and all of Lemondrop's programs will cease until we can raise the money. With so much need this year, closing would be devastating, not only to Lemondrop but the communities we serve.

We have been working extra hard to get more food and household necessities to people since Thanksgiving. Withe money so tight for everyone this year, it is even more pressing than all our years prior of holiday distribution. We want to reach as many people as possible.

Our CA location has added three new amazing Volunteers to our roster. Welcome to Quinny, Cindy and Paul who will be helping our ever faithful Mark (10 years of Volunteering and counting!) to distribute to even more people in the Pomona CA area who are in need. We currently are only distributing bread and sweets at this location, but are hoping to expand to other foods and household items in the next year or so.

Our FL Community Distribution and Giveaway has been bursting at the seams. We have approximately 6 pallets worth of toys, household items, Christmas trees to giveaway starting this week. But without new tires for our vehicle we will not be able to distribute any of it. We are so desperately hoping someone will donate tires so we can make Christmas wishes come true for so many children and families in the community. If you can help us or know someone who can donate tires, please contact us.

The animals at the FL Sanctuary are all happy and healthy. They have been enjoying the cooler weather (as are we), and have been sitting out on their partially enclosed doggie porch, or playing in the yard quite a bit more than they were over the summer. The donkeys have also become much more playful in the cooler weather, we have seen them running together through the open pastures and kicking up their heels almost every evening.

As always a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, or is Volunteering with us. Including (but not limited to): Harlan, Phyllis and Ray, Jaime and family, Joni, Jeff, David, India, Manuel, Jeanie, Oscar, Bill and Laura, Lesley, Cheryl, Lisa, Julie, Janice, Lilla, Anne, Mark, Quinny, Cindy, Paul, Robert, Matthew, Dana, Kate, Angie and anyone I may have accidentally missed! We love and appreciate you more than we can express. A special thank you to Berry and Levi for their amazing extra gift. <3

***The $2300 is to cover our monthly and year end expenses. (Food, gas to and from picking up and distributing donations, bills, etc). As always, 0 of the donations go to our Volunteers. We are all 100% unpaid. 0 goes to corporate salaries. 0 goes to marketing. Every dollar goes directly toward keeping our programs going.

Please help if you can and share. We desperately want to distribute these items at our giveaways to families in need, but we need help.

You can donate directly on PayPal.me/LemondropNonprofit

Or contact us directly for more information or if you are able to donate tires. Thank you so much!
