November Update

Hello everyone!

We hope all are safe, happy and healthy as we head into the holiday season!

We are currently at 15% funding raised toward our mandatory expenses for November.

All of our time is currently being spent working to raise funding and doing clean up at the sanctuary (yard work, clearing weeds, cleaning and organizing the animal barns and storage areas) that needs to be done before it gets colder.

It is very difficult and stressful for our full time onsite Volunteers (who donate all their time without pay), to be working so hard and realize that we will likely not have enough funding to cover the basic operating expenses for yet another month since Covid began. We have had very little time to devote to posting pictures and updates, since we are all working additionally hard right now.

All our programs are still running, both at the Sanctuary and with the Community Outreach. Our California Community Food Outreach is local families and at risk people who are in need are receiving food donations. Currently we estimate that it is reaching about 150-200 families each week. Our Florida Community Outreach is substantial and we estimate that the food and household necessities reach around 1000 people each week.

Our work is vital. Both caring for rescued animals, and providing food and necessities to people in desperate need.
