Piglets, Adoptions and Lambs - oh my!
It has been a fantastic (but busy) week here at Lemondrop!
Firstly I have to say a HUGE thank you to Dot and Amanda who volunteered with us at our fundraiser/adoption this weekend. They were such a huge help, especially when the table got so busy with people wanting to look at Wilbur and Luke.
We had Luke at the adoption with us because he still has to be bottle fed so often. Wilbur was such a good boy, he wagged his tail and said hi to everyone to came up to the table. When he got sleepy halfway through the day, he snuggled up beside Luke and fell asleep. It was the sweetest thing, seeing the two babies snuggling together!
We got several applications for Wilbur on Saturday, and by Monday we had found a suitable home. Tuesday we did the home visit with his new family, and we are pleased to announce that Wilber has been adopted! We are hoping to get pictures of him playing with his new family soon.
Luke is doing so well! He is growing stronger every day and has begun running and playing with the resident dogs at the sanctuary. He has at least doubled in size now from less than ten pounds to about fifteen. He has been chasing through the yard with the sanctuary resident dogs.
This month we got our first animal sponsorship, a HUGE thank you to the Besabe family for their sponsorship of Artie -- and to Maria for being our most faithful donor. The animals are the reason that we do what we do, and you are the ones who enable us to continue this vital work! Thank you.
You too could sponsor one of the resident animals at Lemondrop, just like Artie. If you are interested in sponsoring one of our residents, please check out Sponsorship Blog for more information -- you're also welcome to contact us directly with any more detailed questions, either by phone, email or on Facebook.

When you're doing your Valentine's day shopping this month be sure to select Lemondrop through AmazonSmile, it won't cost you anything, but for every purchase you make Amazon will donate a percentage to Lemondrop.
Your support means everything to us. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, feathers, hooves and paws.
