Another whirlwind week here at Lemondrop!
The cold has finally broken! Now that it has hit 80 degrees, the birds have moved from their winter barn out into their pasture and lush grass area. They were so ecstatic to be outside again. Most of them immediately began taking dust baths, only Artie was brave enough to venture into the grass immediately. When they realize they have an entire grassy pasture to explore, I'm sure it will be feathered chaos! More pictures to come. Luke is also doing very well, he is over 20lbs now and growing like a weed. He has begun to eat grass and hay in small amounts and absolutely loves it.
A huge thank you to our volunteers who were so happy to help us at our adoption even last Sunday for Wilbur! Jailene, Lola, Surina, Ki and Zaria! You guys were amazing, your support means so much to us!
We have new animals for adoption. Please be sure to check out our Adopt page to see information about each of our new animals. Four are small breed dogs, all four have been brought to us by one of our dedicated supporters, Virgina and Darryl. They rescue dogs on a personal level from various abuse and neglect, sometimes from off of craigslist. They work so hard and pour all of their love into each animal and bring them up to health. Now they have brought them to us to find them forever homes.
