Rainy June

Hey everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful week or so, between the raindrops and the smothering humidity. It's been very hot here, but we are all doing well at the Sanctuary.

We are in need of three things in particular;

A location where we can do a yard sale/fundraiser on an upcoming TBD weekend. We want to have a sale with all the proceeds going towards the care of the animals.

A functional (smaller) box truck that someone or a business would be willing to donate or deeply discount for us. The van we are currently using is far outgrown and we really need something larger to pick up the donations for the animals. If you know anyone or would like to help with either of these, please contact us directly!

Families who are willing to become foster parents! We are searching for loving families who maybe don't want the responsibility of having an animal for a lifetime, but are willing to do some short term or long term fostering. If you are interested in learning more about being a foster parent/family with Lemondrop, please email us for more information!

We have 7 puppies still for adoption and looking for their forever families. Please share these lovely little faces and help us find their forever families who are out there looking for them! It would be such a help if you could share this post - just once - on Facebook or Twitter. Anyone who is interested in adopting, please fill out an application and either email or call so we can arrange a home visit and other important details.

Our main focus, is of course the animals, but we do help people too - we just don't always have a lot of time to talk about it! Each week Lemondrop reaches around 800 individuals with our community food outreach - approximately 500 at our food outreach location in California and 300 in the Tallahassee and surrounding areas. We deliver mostly food, but also clothing and household items (personal care products, laundry detergent, blankets etc) to families in need, veterans, homeless, elderly and single parents for free. We are so happy to be able to provide help to those who need it most. If you are interested in helping out, or have some donations for people, please email for more information.

We are always in need of volunteers to help us with our adoption events on the weekends. Monthly sponsors, you would not believe how much a small donation - even $5 a month - means to us! Old towels or linens, we go through so many (especially when there are puppies) as we use them for the animals. Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
