Happy New Year!
We hope you all had an amazing Christmas!
All of us at Lemondrop were very busy over the holiday. Christmas Eve we distributed approximately 750lbs of fresh food to hungry families and homeless in the local community. On Christmas day we gave the animals a trailer full of donated fresh fruits and veggies (and some meats for the pooches), they were so happy!
The birds enjoying their feast!
Harley, our oldest pig resident munching on a sweet potato.
The beautiful apples for the sheep and donkeys.
Luke, the bottle fed baby rescue from last summer, smiling (I think its because of the apples).
Cloud Dancing, our bottle fed baby from a couple years ago, getting in on the smiling action.
A few pooches enjoying their special fest! The dark one is Emmy, the puppy that we found over the summer being abused by someone on the street. Shes almost 70lbs now!
We are so grateful to Terry and the entire team for helping us arrange the pickup and helping us load. You've touched so many lives, both human and animal. And a special thank you to David for helping deliver. Thank you for all you do!
For any who is considering upgrading their vehicle for the end of the year clearance at the dealerships going on... or if you're simply looking to donate your old car for a tax write off -- please consider donating to Lemondrop. You will get the same equivalent tax donation receipt as you would for Goodwill. All vehicles will either be used directly for us to pick up donations or go to someone directly a family or veteran who needs a vehicle desperately. Any vehicle, shape, size, color etc is welcome, the only requirement is that it must have a clean title.
We will be distributing more food to people later today or tomorrow to more people in need, or those who just need a hand.
Remember to follow Lemondrop on Facebook for all the fastest updates the work we do, and adorable animal pictures (of course!).
A special thank you to our faithful supporters; Jaime & Family, Darryl & Virgina, Phyllis, Suzanne, Maria, Roy, Robert, Terry, Tasha, Dot, Anne, Billy, Shaunda, Jenny, Kenley, Kevin, Janet, Cindy, Joanna, Shirley & Family, Cynthia, Patricia. And to those who are just now learning about our needs and are just beginning to support us. Thank you. Without your love and giving hearts we couldn’t continue the work we do.
All the love in our hearts to our volunteers, who help in a variety of ways, both small and great at our two locations (both Pomona, CA and Tallahassee, FL). Mark, Tim, Alice, Justin, Jailene, David, Elizabeth. Merry Christmas to you all, and lots of Love from Lemondrop.
