Its been awhile!
We have all been very busy at Lemondrop the last few weeks, working on post storm clean up (there's still SO much to do), and taking care of the animals.
Yesterday we sent a huge load of food over to the Kearny Center, mostly veggies and things they can cook fresh for their guests. We are so thrilled to be able to support them in that way, and provide good healthy meals.
Here are a few pictures of our babies that have been taken recently.
Teddy taking a nap in some blankets.
Artie who barely stopped long enough for us to take a picture
Hammy, who decided to take a soak in the horse trough.
Our needs here are always great. Cash donations to continue to rebuild post-hurricane, fencing and small storage buildings (to put the animal food in so that it can out of the elements) are our greatest needs right now. Animal food (grain-free dog food, hay and all-stock feed) is always needed and appreciated.
This is just a quick blog, as we are taking intensive care of our oldest canine resident. She is somewhere between 15 and 16, and has been with us since we took her from the pound many many years ago. She was our first red line rescue, escaping death within an hour of our intervention. She is a wonderful girl, but has taken a turn for the worst. Please keep us all in your prayers.
Thank you as always to our faithful supporters, donors and volunteers. We couldn't continue without you.
