54 Days Until Christmas!

Yet another crazy couple weeks! We've been so busy doing work at the Sanctuary that we've barely had time to post or write.

We are all doing well, safe and healthy. Poof and Big Bird are settling in well. They decided that they prefer to stay with the retired birds in their fully enclosed pen for now (perhaps later we will be able to convince them to merge with the free ranging flock).

Here's some adorable animal pics from the last few weeks. Note, if you're viewing the email, you'll have to click through to the actual blog post to see them!

This last month or so, we donated over 700 pounds of clothing, household items, food and necessities to the Community Outreach who distributes to 600+ families each week. We are so grateful to be able to bless people with these items that they need weekly. If you have anything usable household items that you no longer need, please think of Lemondrop first! We will either use it for the animals/volunteers at the Sanctuary or find someone who needs it. We will always offer you a tax donation receipt for the full retail value of the collective items, in return.

We can use: clothing of ALL types and sizes, canned goods/food that is packaged, utensils, working kitchen appliances, dishes, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning products, linens, mattresses, furniture, working televisions, personal sanitary products (unused obviously), lights, storage containers and tubs, building supplies, pens and paper, children's things and toys, books, etc. We will take pretty much anything donated and put it to good use or place it in the hands of people who need it. We also take donated jewelry, both costume and estate. We distribute the inexpensive pieces to the Community Outreach, any fine jewelry is cleaned and sold to fund the work we do. We are in need of a vehicle at the Sanctuary, additional vehicles (etc) will either be utilized directly by our volunteers or passed to a family in need. Please contact us directly by email or phone if you have something you'd like to donate, to arrange pick up.

Did you know Christmas is 54 days away?

If you're looking for a way to give back this holiday season, please remember Lemondrop! We are still in need due to Covid shut downs, and have raised one third of our usual funds to cover operating expenses for the year. When you're thinking about end of the year giving, think about Lemondrop first! Even a small donation means SO much to us!

You can also donate to Lemondrop by selecting us as your AmazonSmile Charity and Amazon will donate a portion of all your purchases to Lemondrop!

If you'd like to support our work monthly, even with a $5 donation, please set up an auto donation through our PayPal!

Don't forget to Like and Follow our Facebook page for daily updates on Lemondrop and tons of cute animal pics.

The work we do is vital. Our Community Food Outreach extends food and household items to more than 600 families each week, something that is critical during this time. At the Farm Sanctuary our 80+ rescued resident animals rely on our food donations and our volunteers love and care.

Thank you. And a special thank you to everyone who has given so much of themselves, their time and their resources to help us. Both now and in the past. At Lemondrop we are so incredibly blessed, to have supporters who give so much of themselves so the animals can have what they need. We are so grateful for your generosity and kindness. Jaime, Maria, Gwen, Amanda, Suzanne, Angie, Lisa, Andrea, Alyssa, Pamela, Dana, Robert, Janice, Larame. Joe, Jerry, Jeff, Melissa, Joni, Chris, Grea and Cindy -- and anyone we may have missed! We couldn't keep doing the vital work we do without you.

Thank you. ❤️
