Happy Belated Memorial Day!

Greetings everyone!

Hope this post finds you all healthy, happy and safe from the outside chaos of the world.

We have updated our Amazon WishList with our most current needs. All are items needed for the animals. Please be sure and sort the list by highest priority, so you can see which items we need the most (see the pic at the bottom of the blog if you need help).

Our onsite Volunteers and Board Members have been working furiously to try and find additional ways to bring in funding. It has led to a lack of posting on Facebook, for which we sincerely apologize. As of today (September 8th), we have brought in 5.6% of our needed donations for September.

Please commit to supporting Lemondrop by becoming a $5 per month sponsor at PayPal.me/LemondropNonprofit - It doesn't sound like alot, but each $5 helps us. If all of our supporters donated $5 per month, we would be able to meet our mandatory expenses. Please encourage your friends and people who love animals to commit to $5 per month. We are one of the only local nonprofits that receives no local or federal government funding to do the work we do.

Due to recent events, we have gone into an almost 100% lockdown at the Sanctuary. All of our donation pick ups, distribution, drop offs (etc) are contactless. The Board of Directors has instructed us that we are not allowed to grant any new visitations, and we are not allowed to consider any animals for new residency at Lemondrop (except by their explicit approval and authorization). These will remain in effect until further notice. This makes things more difficult, of course. But we are managing well. Everyone here, both animals and volunteers, are happy healthy and safe. And we are immensely grateful for our volunteers who have enabled us to continue to provide food distribution and delivery even through this difficult time.

We are also so incredibly grateful to the businesses who have remained committed to supporting our work despite the craziness of these times. We are especially thankful for local businesses like K & Sam's Meat & Fish Market at 1412 FL-GA Hwy Havana FL 32333 (850-536-0776), who donate their excess for us to prepare for our canine and feline residents. If you can, please stop by and support K & Sam's! Tell them how much you love that they help support Lemondrop's work.

Thank you all. Especially those who give so much to help us each month, our Volunteers, Supporters, Donors and Followers. We love you all!

-Team Lemondrop
