Happy February!

Greetings everyone! We hope you are all safe and happy, despite this ridiculously long (and COLD!) winter weather we are having.

We are all safe and happy. Thankfully we were able to get shelters in for all the animals, before the lockdowns got so bad last year. So everyone has been safe and able to get into shelter, despite the ongoing extremely cold nights.

Now that we are solidly into 2021, we have realized that most of the small businesses and grants that we received in previous years before Covid, are likely not going to be granted to us again. Since so many are hurting, rescue animals and community outreaches seem to be falling through the cracks in importance of funding (even though these are absolutely crucial for homeless animals and hungry people).

Our monthly Operational Expenses will now rely on our loyal supporters, their family and friends, and funding that we can raise.

To make our monthly goals as transparent as possible, we have just created and installed a percentage graph on the homepage of our website, which show how much of our monthly Operating Expenses have been covered. These are base mandatory expenses (electricity, water, feed, etc) that we must have to continue providing for the animals and distributing donations through our Community Outreach.

Just a reminder that ALL of our "Staff" (including our Board of Directors and full time on-site volunteers) are 100% UNPAID and VOLUNTEER all of their time. No one receives a paycheck on our team. We do not use any money raised for expensive and wasteful marketing. Every single dollar goes directly toward the Operational Expenses that keep our doors open.

The best way you can help support Lemondrop is to become a monthly Sponsor through PayPal (for any amount! Even $5 helps!!!), and tell your friends and family about the work we do, and encourage them to support us as well.

Enter your email on our Lemondrop homepage, to subscribe to all of our email shout out's, and follow us on Facebook for daily pictures and updates about our resident animals.

We are so thankful for each and every one of you. All of our volunteers and supporters who have give so much of yourselves always. At Lemondrop we are so incredibly blessed, to have supporters who give so much of themselves so the animals can have what they need. We are so grateful for your generosity and kindness. Jaime & Family, Maria, Gwen, Amanda, Suzanne, Angie, Lisa, Andrea, Alyssa, Pamela, Dana, Robert, Janice, Larame, Joe, Jerry, Jeff, Melissa, Joni, Chris, Grea, Janice, Nadia, Darline, Cheryl, Libby, Lindsay, Cindy, Missy and Michael -- and anyone we may have missed! We couldn't keep doing the vital work we do without you. Thank you. We love you all.
