May Day's already?!

We hope you are all happy, healthy and safe!
We are all doing well at the Sanctuary. The animals are all happy and healthy, our newest goslings, ducks and chicks are just now large enough to join the flock in their larger barn pen. Although we are not allowing them to free range the pastures just yet.
The community outreach is still going and food is still getting to people and families in need, although we've been struggling to cover some of our donation pick ups. Life goes on, even though we face what feels like continual financial difficulties.
Lemondrop did not reach our April Mandatory Monthly Expenses goal, we just barely hit 86% of our mandatory goal, which keeps Lemondrop running. It was sad to see that it slipped back, after meeting our goal in March for the first time since Covid hit us in 2020.
Now, in May 2021, we have reached just 20% of our goal by today (Mother's Day - May 9th).

100% of all donations go to fund Lemondrop's programs, the food outreach and the farm sanctuary. None of our volunteers are paid, everyone volunteers their time and work to the cause.
One of our directors has been working under the hood of our current vehicle, in hopes of salvaging it for short local trips.
You all know how desperate we have been to have a functional vehicle, so we can continue to pick up donations and keep Lemondrop running. So far no one has been willing to donate a vehicle. Bill, one of our friends and supporters has found us an almost new vehicle that exactly suits our needs. He replaced the motor and got it in perfect running condition. He is going to allow us to use it until we can pay him for the repairs he made (far under the vehicles actual value). We are now in need of $4,700 to repay him for his amazing kindness to us in our time of desperate need.
