September Whirlwind! Meet Poof and Big Bird.❤️
It's been a crazy busy few weeks!
Our last blog informed everyone that we had temporarily lost access to our Facebook account, thankfully we were able to regain access and are now fully up and running again!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have taken in two new residents, Poof and Big Bird!
These boys are absolutely stunning and came from a loving home. 😍 They’ll be in quarantine for a couple weeks before joining our flock to free range. ❤️🐓 We noticed that Big Bird was showing signs of not feeling well the first day we took him, so they’re being carefully monitored and cared for. Poof seems very healthy so far. Hoping these symptoms will pass quickly so they both can join the flock (who are eagerly watching them from afar).
Thanks to Cindy and family, we are sending a huge load of clothes, household items and 20 pounds of excess jewelry to the Community Outreach for distribution! This will be amazing provision for the 600+ families that are supported. We are so grateful to be a part of such an amazing Community Program partnered with Pastor Janice and her team who distribute faithfully each week.
On less enthusiastic note, we are going to place a screenshot from our Facebook page below. One of our volunteers received a serious threat, and we are taking every precaution to ensure both her safety as well as the safety of every volunteer and animal resident who depends on Lemondrop.
We currently need 10-15 bags of All Stock from Tractor Supply Company. (Tractor Supply donations can be ordered for the local Tallahassee store and held for pickup by Lemondrop, just be sure to let us know if you did order something we need to go get!)
If you'd like to support our work monthly, even with a $5 donation, please set up an auto donation through our PayPal!
Don't forget to Like and Follow our Facebook page for daily updates on Lemondrop and tons of cute animal pics.
The work we do is vital. Our Community Food Outreach extends food and household items to more than 600 families each week, something that is critical during this time. At the Farm Sanctuary our 80+ rescued resident animals rely on our food donations and our volunteers love and care.
Thank you. And a special thank you to everyone who has given so much of themselves, their time and their resources to help us. Both now and in the past. At Lemondrop we are so incredibly blessed, to have supporters who give so much of themselves so the animals can have what they need. We are so grateful for your generosity and kindness. Jaime, Maria, Gwen, Amanda, Suzanne, Angie, Dana, Lisa, Andrea, Alyssa, Pamela, Dana, Robert, Janice, Larame. Joe, Jerry, Jeff, Melissa, Joni, Chris, Grea and Cindy -- and anyone we may have missed! We couldn't keep doing the vital work we do without you.
Thank you. ❤️
